The only specialized VR cinema in Croatia where you can watch documentary, art and adventure films shot in virtual reality and showing scenes in 360° and 3D. The main focus of our VR cinema is on creating a sense of complete immersion that enables visitors the realistic experience of the landscape that virtually surrounds them.

While sitting in comfortable rotating seats and using VR headsets, you are virtually teleported to the edge of reality. In the VR cinema KEK, you can explore the farthest corners of the universe or distant cultures, travel to the past or visit great artists’ imaginations. Located in the very center of Zagreb, we are dedicated to providing VR experiences that take you on incredible and original journeys, going beyond traditional ways of consuming content. Open new and unimagined horizons of experiencing, learning and communicating, deeply and memorably enriching your reality!

After creating the first Croatian documentary VR film that explores the life of hunter-gatherers in an original and contemporary way, we also wanted to enable the audience to immerse themselves into this unique experience. We decided to start a new cultural chapter, contribute to the cultural landscape of Zagreb and Croatia, and launch the first specialized VR 3D cinema!

Our VR cinema has a total of 14 comfortable seats and is equipped with the latest VR technology. Visitors are provided with an incredibly immersive experience that will completely transport them into the virtual world. Outside of the standard opening hours, our space offers a total of 25 places specially adapted for organized visits and various events, be it educational events for schools, teambuilding or collaborative experiences for corporate teams or private events. We are here for you, feel free to contact us and discuss how we can help your event come to life.

Our goal is not only to open the door to new forms of entertainment… We envision the VR cinema KEK as a meeting place where the worlds of technology and art, education and innovation meet and merge, a treasury of knowledge and a generator of new experiences. We believe that the VR cinema KEK can be a site for exchanging experiences and an opportunity for cooperation with partners from various sectors. We expect that together we can realize dynamic interdisciplinary projects that will build a bridge between technological innovations, artistic expression and contemporary education, thus exploring new possibilities and pushing the boundaries of the unknown.

REVIEWS

This is so much more than ‘watching a movie in the cinema’ that it is difficult to even compare the two. It is as if someone is teleporting you from place to place! VR glasses usually make me nauseous and uncomfortable, but this is evidently at a higher technological level than what I’ve had the chance to try so far.

Brilliant experience, from the excellent explanation and introduction we were given when arriving to the actual film experience. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates cutting edge filmmaking techniques, excellent documentary storytelling and a warm, human welcome. Bravo!

Amazing! We watched a short David Attenborough 3D documentary about flying animals, and it was very enjoyable. It was 20 minutes long which was just right, and there was a good balance of beautiful images and startling things zooming past. I expect children would have loved it too – nothing was actually frightening. And it was fun but also educational, so, suitable for any age. The venue was comfortable with lots of room and the person who worked there was very friendly and helpful. The system was comfortable and simple to use, and properly immersive. At 10 euros each, I thought it was very good value and well worth doing.

An astounding experience! Although I knew what to expect in theory, I was still shocked when I ‘found myself right there, among them’. Thank you for teleporting me to that magical place and giving me the pleasure of spending a day in the company of hunter-gatherers.
