Multimedia Lecture + VR Film + Q&A

An intimate event ‘Hunter-Gatherers – Author Event’ gives up to 25 guests an opportunity to dive deep and more personally into the project ‘Hunter-Gatherers‘. This is a unique chance to ask the author Davor Rostuhar anything you’d like to know about the project itself, as well as the use of VR technology in art.

‘Hunter-Gatherers – Author Event’ begins with a 30-minute multimedia lecture by Davor Rostuhar. The lecture presents the core idea and implementation of the ‘Hunter-Gatherers‘ project, providing a behind the scenes insight into this innovative process. It also offers an introduction to the VR experience that follows as well as basic information about VR technology and the filmmaking process itself.

Following the lecture, a screening of the VR film ‘Hunter-Gatherers‘ takes place, allowing the audience to experience the life of hunter-gatherers first-hand. Each person watches the film individually, seated in a comfortable rotating seat and using a VR headset.

After the end of the film, Davor answers questions about the project, the film, and the book during a 30-minute Q&A session. At the end of the event, Davor signs his books and mingles with the event participants. All of Davor’s books, several of which have been translated to English, are available for purchase at the VR cinema KEK.

The synergy of the multimedia lecture, VR film, and Q&A session enables a deeper understanding of the hunter-gatherers’ context, as well as an introduction to the potential of VR technology in contemporary art and education.
